A unique operation took place along the Lekkanaal in 2017; the relocation of a number of objects from the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie. The objects had to make way for the widening of the canal and the construction of the 3rd chamber of the Princess Beatrix lock. To preserve the special history of our national defense at this location, the objects have been placed back in the landscape as ‘objets trouvés’ (found objects).
To look back on this operation and on the history of this piece of the Waterlinie, the magazine Grof Geschut has been published. A nice reminder of this large and unique operation.

This special magazine has been produced to honor the unique operation. Interviews with, among others, a professor with a doctorate in Dutch history and a family with one of the bunkers in their backyard, a historical article, an artist's report and a visual report on the movement and final arrangement of the objects. Each section has a specific type of paper so there is not only a visible but also tangible distinction and the content is optimally displayed on the paper.
